Day 30 - CRUISING THE PACIFIC OCEAN

Date: 2/4/2024       Day 30                       Sea Day: CRUISING THE PACIFIC OCEAN

Today's Update: We're about half way to our next port-of-call NUKU HIVA, FRENCH POLYNESIA.  We received notice last evening that they want us to return our passports to the purser this morning.  When we checked in on the first day of our cruise they took our passports.  Apparently it's easier for the port passport control to review them all at once rather than interview each of us.   When we reentered the USA in San Diego they gave us our passports back for interviews on shore.  So we have had them and now they go back to the purser's office.

Since missing our last stop in Hawaii due to weather we've had some rough seas.  Cathy was doing OK until yesterday afternoon.  She missed dinner and last nights show again.  This morning she is much better.  They have had some very interesting talks in the main theater during the day.  Therefore I did not get much work done on processing pictures and videos.  I have 3 more sea days to get those reviewed, processed and posted.  The greatest time is uploading especially videos.  It takes about an hour per 10 minute video.   I sure miss my home Internet.  So check back often to my previous posts for pictures and video postings for a given day.

In the captains noon update he announced that we will be moving our clocks ahead 30 minutes tonight.  We'll be in one of those weird time zones.

  1. Praying for Cathy and calming seas. As someone who experiences extreme motion sickness, I know what she is feeling. Been there, done that. No one can imagine what it is like unless they have been through it.
