Date: 2/8/2024 Day 34 Sea Day: CRUISING THE PACIFIC OCEAN
Today's Notes: NEWS FLASH: Last night after the evening show we were informed that the captain will be having a meeting with all World Cruisers this morning at 10 AM. This morning hanging outside on our door we found a letter explaining our itinerary changes due to the current Red Sea issues. We'll be traveling around Africa instead of transiting the Suez Canal. The long and short of it our World Cruise has been extended an additional 16 days and we'll be disembarking the ship in New York on June 2nd at no additional cost.
After attending this morning's meeting many questions were asked. It was recommend that folks fill out questionnaire cards and staff will get back to them. We now have to extend our travel insurance and rebook our travel home from New York. Any additional costs at rebooking travel, not covered by insurance, will be reimbursed. We are basically being offered an additional 16 day cruise at no cost. Africa will be interesting and one we may never get the opportunity to visit.
Noon Update: Our next two ports-of-call have been cancelled due to rerouting around several TROPICAL CYCLONE's. We may shelter in a harbor.
Hey, another 16 days!!!! Another 16 pounds!!😂 Hopefully you won’t have any more changes but at least you will see something that you weren’t expecting!!! Enjoy!!!🙏
