Marvel at
the diverse attractions and architecture that reflect the history of Kuala
Lumpur. Discover how Malaysia
transitioned from colonial rule to become self-governing. Get a glimpse of daily life at a thriving
local market.
Morning Update: After visiting Singapore, it felt a bit like living inside of George Orwell's 1984 when going through repeated passport and facial recognition security checks, we're visiting the first of two Malaysian stops. Our tour today includes a buffet style lunch at one of the city’s leading restaurants. It's going to again be a hot day with Thunderstorms and rain (75%) and a high of 95F (35C). On the long bus rides I listen to my audio books and Cathy listen's to Spotify music. Please check back for the afternoon update.
Evening Update: It was a long 9 hr. day once we arrived back on board. It was mostly a long bus ride into Kuala Lumpur with photo stops. The tour ended at a shopping market. Our tour guide wanted to leave in time to bet the rush hour out of town. We mostly succeeded in that effort. Joe and Pat's tour arrived at the market about a half hour later then we and when they departed got caught in the rush. We both had an intense rainstorm on the bus ride back to the ship. Joe and Pat's bus not only was caught in the rush hour but also delayed due to an accident. Their delay resulted in a 3 hr. ride back to the ship as apposed to our hour and half.
